o-vanillin (C29L, ortho-Vanillin) is the C29 derivative that blocks hTLR2/1 and hTLR2/6 signaling with IC50 of 24.2 uM and 37.2 uM in NF-κB reporter assay in HEK293T cells, respectively.
o-vanillin (C29L, ortho-Vanillin) significantly blocks IL-12 p40 and TNF-α liver cytokine mRNA and serum protein, inhibits TLR2/1-induced proinflammatory cytokines in mice.
o-vanillin (C29L, ortho-Vanillin) is more soluble in water than C29.
