Tasquinimod (ABR215050) is an orally active antiangiogenic agent with anti-prostate cancer activity, an allosteric modulator of HDAC4 with Kd of 10-30 nM.
Tasquinimod inhibits colocalization of N-CoR/HDAC3, thereby inhibiting deacetylation of histones and HDAC4 client transcription factors, such as HIF-1α.
Tasquinimod also is a S100A9 inhibitor.
