TRPM7-IN-1 (SUD) is a small molecule transient receptor potential melastatin 7 channel (TRPM7) inhibitor, inhibits the expression and function of TRPM7, possess anticancer properties in vivo and in vitro.
SUD inhibits the migration of MCF-7 and BGC-823 cells.
SUD inhibits epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of MCF-7 and BGC-823 cells.
SUD (0.2, 1, and 5 μM) led to a significant reduction in TRPM7-like currents at +100 mV by 42.27 ± 1.03%, 55.47 ± 1.10%, and 71.65 ± 1.03% in MCF-7 cells, and by 31.28 ± 1.13%, 54.22 ± 0.85%, and 68.98 ± 1.12% in BGC-823 cells, respectively.
SUD inhibits TRPM7 expression through PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.
SUD induces apoptosis in MCF-7 and BGC-823 cells through the mitochondrial pathway in a p53-dependent manner.
