T-5224 is a small molecule inhibitor of c-Fos/AP-1 that specifically inhibits the binding of AP-1 to the AP-1 binding site of the promoter region, specifically inhibits the DNA binding activity of c-Fos/c-Jun without affecting other transcription factors.
T-5224 attenuates the gelatinase activity of MMP-2 and -9.
T-5224 inhibits the mRNA expression levels of MMP-1, 3, and 13, and IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 in IL-1-stimulated human chondrocytes, significantly inhibits the invasion, migration, and MMP activity of HNSCC cells, prevents lymph node metastasis in an oral cancer model.
T-5224 decreases the release of collagen selectively in SSc fibroblasts, prevents dermal fibrosis in vivo.
