Saikosaponin B1 is a bioactive constituent of Radix Bupleuri with anti-cancaer activty, inhibits tumor growth in medulloblastoma via inhibiting Hedgehog pathway through targeting Smoothened (SMO), inhibits GLI-luciferase activity in Shh Light II cells with IC50 of 241.8 nM, also is a potent modulator of Piezo1 channel, alleviates mitochondrial damage and apoptosis in osteoarthritic chondrocytes.
