SAFit2 is a potent and highly selective inhibitor of FKBP51 (K506-binding protein 51) with IC50 of 6 nM, >10,000-fold selectivity over FKBP52.
SAFit2 enhances regulation of stress hormone secretion and active stress-coping behavior in mice.
SAFit2 reduced anxiety-related behavior in the basolateral amygdala (BLA) microinjected mice.
SAFit2 recapitulates the effects of FKBP51 deletion on both body weight regulation and glucose tolerance.
