S-2101 is a potent lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) inhibitor with Ki of 0.61 uM.
S-2101 displays weaker inhibition to MAO-B and MAO-A compared with Tranylcypromine (2-PCPA).
S-2101 protects against cisplatin-induced hair cell loss by preventing demethylation of histone H3K4 (H3K4me2).
S-2101 induces cytotoxicity in ovarian cancer lines.
