Ractopamine hydrochloride (LY031537) is a potent and orally active β-adrenergic receptor (βAR) agonist with Ki of 25 nM for pig β1AR and β2A, is also a TAAR1 agonist with EC50 of 16 uM for mTAAR1.
Ractopamine produces concentration-dependent increases in chloride conductance in oocytes coexpressing hCFTR and mTAAR1, which can be completely reversed by mTAAR1 antagonist EPPTB.
