RGFP966 (RGFP 966) is a potent, specific HDAC3 inhibitor with IC50 of 0.08 uM, without effective inhibition of any other HDACs at 15 uM.
RGFP966 facilitates extinction in mice in a manner resistant to reinstatement.
RGFP966 enhances the rate and persistence of extinction of cocaine-CPP. RGFP966 enhances acquisition/consolidation of memory.
RGFP966 promotes histone acetylation and gene expression during extinction consolidation.
RGFP966 alters the regulation of c-fos via HDAC3 and its acetylation during the consolidation of extinction.
RGFP966 causes significant reduction in DNA replication fork velocity, inhibits cell growth in CTCL cell lines with increased apoptosis.
