PRDX1 inhibitor 7e (PRDX1-IN-1) is a potent peroxiredoxin 1 (PRDX1) inhibitor with IC50 of 164 nM.
7e inhibits the proliferation, invasion and migration of cancer cells (A549 IC50=1.92 uM).
7e suppresses the key signaling pathways (AKT and ERK) and promoted the expression of apoptosis-related proteins (cleaved caspase-3/8 and cleaved PARP) in A549 cells
7e shows considerable antitumor efficacy without obvious toxicity in vivo.
