Pep2-8 is a specific small peptide PCSK9 inhibitor with a binding KD of 0.7 μM, inhibits LDL receptor and EGF(A) domain binding to PCSK9 with IC50 values of 0.8 μMand 0.4 μM respectively, Pep2-8 is an EGF(A)-mimicking peptide and does not bind to other proprotein convertases.
