Otamixaban (FXV-673, FXV673) is potent and selective factor Xa (FXa) inhibitor with Ki of 0.4 nM.
Otamixaban shows >1,000-fold selectivity over thrombin, activated protein C (aPC), plasmin, and tissue-plasminogen activator (t-PA).
Otamixaban dose-dependently prolongs the time to vessel occlusion and inhibits thrombus formation in canine models of thrombosis.
