O304 (O-304, ATX-304) is a small molecule pan-AMPK activated protein kinase (AMPK) activator and PCSK9 modulator, reduces extracellular and secreted PCSK9 levels in human liver cells and reduces PCSK9 plasma levels and total cholesterol levels in obese rats.
O304 suppresses dephosphorylation of pAMPK in vitro and acts as a PAN-AMPK activator in cells.
O304 prevents insulin resistance and dysglycemia in DIO mice.
O304 prevents and reverts diabetes in hIAPPtg DIO mice.
O304 increases glucose uptake in skeletal myotubes ex vivo and in skeletal muscle in vivo.
