ND-AHA1-46 is a a specific small-molecule inhibitor of HSP90 and AHA1 (activator of Hsp90 ATPase homolog 1) protein-protein interaction with IC50 of 3.32 uM, binds the N-terminal region of AHA1 and reduces its stimulation of Hsp90 ATPase activity.
ND-AHA1-46 significantly inhibits Hsp90-mediated and Aha1-stimulated P301L tau aggregation in vitro.
ND-AHA1-46 does not broadly inhibit Hsp90 function or induce the canonical heat-shock response including Hsp70 upregulation.
