MS-L6 is a novel small molecule OXPHOS inhibitor, exerts dual mitochondrial effects: mitochondrial electron transport chain complexe ETC-I inhibition and uncoupling of OXPHOS.
MS-L6 inhibits respiration of hepatocytes and cancer cells via ETC-I.
MS-L6 decreases ΔΨm in rat liver mitochondria and cancer cells.
MS-L6 exhibits mild cytotoxic effects on several cancer cell lines and remarkably inhibits tumor growth in preclinical mouse cancer models without toxicity.
