ML-60218 (ML60218) is a broad-spectrum, small molecule inhibitor of RNA polymerase (Pol) III with IC50 of 32 and 27 uM for Saccharomyces cerevisiae and human, respectively.
ML-60218 compromises the structural integrity of viroplasms and rotavirus double-layered particles, interferes with the formation of higher order structures of VP6, the protein forming the DLP outer layer, without compromising its ability to trimerize.
