Inz-5 is a fungal-specific indazole derivative inhibitor of Candida albicans (C. albicans) complex III (CIII) with IC50 of 24 nM in UQH2:cyt c oxidoreductase assays.
Inz-5 binds within the QP site of homodimeric respiratory complex III (CIII2).
Inz-5 is specific for fungal CIII.
Inz-5 is a Pm-type inhibitor, binds similar to strobilurin-type inhibitors.
Inz-5 enhances antifungal action of both voriconazole and caspofungin.
