HBF-0259 is a specific and novel inhibitor of hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) secretion with EC50 of 1.5 uM in HepDE19 cell line.
HBF-0259 reduces HBV particle secretion without affecting viral replication.
HBF-0259 inhibits secretion of transiently expressed HBV envelope proteins.
HBF-0259 shows no effect on HSV-1 and BVDV, indicating it's selectivity.
