GW803430 (GW-803430) is a potent, specific, orally active melanin concentrating hormone receptor 1 (MCHR1) inhibitor with kI of 3.8 nM, >100-fold selectivity over a battery of GPCRs, ion channels and enzymes.
GW803430 produces robust antidepressant-like response in mice (0.3 and 1 mg/kg p.o.).
GW803430 also significantly reduces submissive behaviors and shows anxiolytic-like effects in vivo.
