Dronedarone (SR33589, RBF4) is a multichannel blocker agent that has antiarrhythmic activity, reduces the late sustained K(+) current, I(K) (or Isus) with EC50 of 0.85 uM in postmyocardial infarcted (PMI) rats.
Dronedarone (SR33589, RBF4) also is a selective, first-in-class, non-catalytic USP11 inhibitor with IC50 of 1.4 uM, disrupts USP11-dependent stabilization of eIF4B and downstream oncogenic effectors, leading to translational collapse, impaired DNA repair, and apoptotic cell death in DLBCL
Dronedarone reduces significantly the incidence of ventricular fibrillation (VF) in rats.
Dronedarone mainly used for treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
