CP376395 is a potent, selective and orally active CRF1 receptor antagonist with Ki of 12 nM, shows no affinity for CRF2 receptor (Ki>10 uM).
CP376395 significantly attenuates activation of the HPA axis (MED=10 mg/kg, p.o), reverses the excitation of locus coeruleus neurons induced by CRF in CNS in vivo.
