BI1071 (BI-1071, DIM-C-pPhCF3+MeSO3-) is a novel Nur77 modulator and modulator of the Nur77-Bcl-2 apoptotic pathway, binds Nur77 (Kd=0.17 uM) to induce its mitochondrial targeting and apoptosis.
BI1071 promotes Nur77 mitochondrial targeting and interaction with Bcl-2, and effectively induces apoptosis of cancer cells in a Nur77- and Bcl-2-dependent manner.
BI1071 inhibited the growth of HCT116 colon cancer cell with IC50 of 0.06 uM, 25-fold more active than DIM-C-pPhCF3.
BI1071 BI1071 potently inhibits the growth of tumor cells in animals through its induction of apoptosis in animal models.
